5 GovCon Leaders Discuss Their Top Emerging Tech Priorities

The global technological landscape is changing and evolving faster than ever before. In today’s era of great power competition, technological superiority is critical, and U.S. leaders must embrace continuous innovation and advancements in order to stay ahead of the curve.

Executive Mosaic spoke with five of GovCon’s most influential leaders to find out which emerging technologies are at the top of their priority lists. 

Artificial intelligence was listed as a major focus area for Juliane Gallina, associate deputy director of the CIA’s Digital Innovation Directorate, Jim Brinker, president and general manager of Intel Federal, and Nazzic Keene, CEO of SAIC. 

Another promising technology that we can expect to see increased investments in across government and industry is quantum computing, mentioned Gallina and Matt Desch, CEO of Iridium Communications. 

Bruce Caswell, president and CEO of Maximus, highlighted hybrid cloud as a “major thrust” for the GovCon community in the coming years. 

These executives also discussed technologies like blockchain, microelectronics, autonomous systems, 5G and next-generation communications.
