MW2 Cyber Attack Mode Explained

MW2 Cyber Attack is a revive mode that blends Sabotage and Search & Destroy into one thrilling mode. Here is everything you need to know.

Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Reloaded added Cyber Attack as part of a content update. It was first introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019.

Now in MW2, Cyber Attack features the same high-intensity gameplay that players loved from its original run.

What is Modern Warfare 2 Cyber Attack?

Modern Warfare 2 Cyber Attack is a 6 v 6 revive game mode where players fight to sabotage each other’s data center.

Each side spawns with a data center near them, and an EMP will spawn somewhere near the center of the map. The first team to successfully take the EMP and sabotage the opposing team’s Data Center wins the match.

Players can also win if they eliminate all the players on an opposing team. In a revive mode, players can not respawn on their own.

A teammate has to revive an eliminated player to bring them back into the game.

The first team to win 5 rounds wins the match. Players can draw if they fail to eliminate all the enemy players and sabotage the enemy Data Center. A draw when the score is 4-4 will result in a Tie.

This may sound similar to Search & Destroy because they both involve defending and attacking a site. But there are some key differences which include:

• Both sites need to attack and defend simultaneously. In Search & Destroy, one side attacks while the other defends.
• Players can revive their teammates in Cyber Attack.
• The EMP can be defused without ending the round. In Search & Destroy, if the bomb is defused, the team who defused it wins the round.
• It is possible to end Cyber Attack in a draw.

Cyber Attack is great for building up XP to get Battle Tokens and the latest Operator Rewards quickly.
